Sooo bored. Sitting at the theater waiting for the show to be over. Normally I wouldn't be so anxious to go, but I need to meet up with Colleen and everyone else to go gown shopping. (Can't wait! So excited!)The show SHOULD be over any minute now and then I just have to get to Sassy (who is patiently waiting right outside the theater for me) and we're off to find the girls.

Oh! and thank God for Amber for giving me directions when mapquest let me down...as it often does.

So I'm sitting in the box office on my first day of work at the theater and I'm bored out of my damn mind. Oh well...can't have it all. Started good though. Walked in to find a paycheck they forgot to give me at the end of last year. And there's actually some decent money on the thing.

I know I'm going to be damned tired tomorrow because I have to work tonight till closing at NYC and then do my hw tonight when I get home and I can't sleep late because I open the store tomorrow. Good thing I love my job or I wouldn't be able to handle it. I'm barely balancing everything as it is. I'm hoping that after class tomorrow I can drive up to visit my mom for a night, since I won't be getting many chances to see her for a while.

Sage is finally coming around to me. She still plays the "let's run from Carina because it annoys her" game, but she will let me approach her a lot of the time, even with Tink home (yes, I have decided to start using nicknames. It sounds fun).

Oh...and last night I got in the elevator with an Indian, a Mexican, and a black man. That's it. Nothing sketchy or sleazy about any of them, but doesn't it sound like it needs to be some kind of joke? Or is it just me? I'm not normally a fan of any sort of racist joke, but I was seriously just standing there in the middle of the three men (literally) and thinking, "Oh my God. I'm in a joke."

Anyway...I'll shut up now.

Life is so awesome right now.

I have an awesome new apartment that comes complete with the greatest roommate and really sweet pets. Amber and I are getting along so well and I think we really compliment each other as roommates, sharing the responsibilities and still managing to have a lot of fun. I love my new job at New York & Co. My co-workers are truly awesome people and the customers are extremely grateful and considerate. (plus, the clothes are freaking awesome). My classes are all going really well and they are almost all really exciting. Narrative might be the exception, but it is challenging (both the reading and staying awake during Dr. Sendry's lectures) and the other students are very insightful. So far seminar takes the lead in my favorite class of the semester because Suarez is an awesome teacher (almost God-like) and though the reading is extremely, bizarrely challenging and I'm not looking forward to writing my thesis, it really is fun.

(And I just have to add that I absolutely love and adore Sassy...I'm going through my obsessive phase with her, which hopefully for all of you will pass eventually, but don't hold your breath)

So basically I am keeping very, very busy between classes and work and my commute, but I still manage to have fun and see all my favorite people whenever I can and whenever they need to see me. Well, not everyone (hint: Mary! need more time to see you. miss you!).

I've decided to start writing an autobiography. This isn't an attempt at fame or a belief that people would actually want to read about my life.

Sometimes...well frequently...I feel so overwhelmed by my past. Everyone always says that you need to let go of the past and I've tried that method for years, but it just isn't that simple. There are some things that you just can't let go of and the harder you try to suppress them, the more they build up within you until it feels like your heart is going to explode with the pain.

I'm exhausted from trying to suppress my memories and having them dug up by my therapist. It's hard to accept that someone else knows you better than you know yourself and can see when you're hiding something, even when you are unaware of it. That is why I've started this project.

Instead of hiding from my past, I'm trying to face it fully. Maybe that will help me finally work my way past it and finally move on with my life.

So the rules are: once you've been tagged you have to write a blog with 6 weird things/habits about yourself. In the end you need to list 6 other people to tag and list their names.

1. I try on at least four different outfits every morning and change my hair-style just as many times.

2. One of my favorite pastimes involves getting dressed up in pretty/cute outfits and dancing and singing-along to music in front of my full length mirror, making a complete idiot out of myself in the process. This is why it never occurs in the presence of any other human being.

3. When I read a play, I pick my favorite character (usually the young-pretty thing) and act the role out. I'll also dub the voices for the other characters so my character has someone to talk to.

4. I often feel as though I was born in the wrong era. I truly believe that I was meant in an era when I could wear pretty and puffy dresses and flirt with Dukes and Earls and stuff. (Because, naturally, if I was in regent England I would be a member of the aristocricy).

5. My mom and I really enjoy watching really stupid shark-attack movies. We will also settle for alligator, snake, bat, normally nice animals gone wrong, and mythological animals (Chupacabra, Dragons, Lochness). They are quite entertaining.

6. When my clock-radio goes off in the morning, if there is a song that I really, really love, I will jump up, no matter how tired I am and start dancing/jumping on my bed.

So I am hopefully going to start working at Ann Taylor Loft up at Wheaton soon (yay for having paychecks). Lots of love to Amber for the hook-up and lots and lots of love for my beautiful b-day present (even though I don't get it for another 2 weeks). You're awesome, I love you.
